The Vision
Legendary Artifact Creature — Robot Hero · Rare
A 4-mana 2/5 flying vigilance body that hands you double strike, indestructible, or a card every time you cast a noncreature spell is a strong commander skeleton, but nobody's actually proven the deck yet.
The buzz
28 days into Marvel Super Heroes and The Vision is already the most-built colorless commander out of the set, sitting at 3,297 decks with an EDHRec rank that puts it well ahead of most rares from this release. That's fast adoption for a card with almost no real match history yet.
What it does
Every noncreature spell you cast lets you pick one of three upgrades that hasn't been used that turn: double strike, indestructible, or draw a card. Stack enough cheap spells in one turn and Vision can attack as a near-unkillable double striker while you're still drawing cards off the earlier picks.
Where it shines
Colorless, any-color-borders-welcome Voltron shells. Cram in cheap artifacts, instants, and equipment so you're casting multiple noncreature spells a turn, then swing with double strike and indestructible backup. Since it's colorless, it slides into any commander's 99 as a secondary threat too.
The catch
You only get one mode per spell and each mode only once per turn, so a single removal spell doesn't turn Vision into a monster. You need real spell volume to make the double strike plus indestructible turn actually happen, and without that density Vision is just a fine flying vigilance blocker.
