Rift Bolt deals 3 damage to any target.

Suspend 1—{R} (Rather than cast this card from your hand, you may pay {R} and exile it with a time counter on it. At the beginning of your upkeep, remove a time counter. When the last is removed, you may cast it without paying its mana cost.)

Be careful when opening any door labeled "Lightning World."

Rift Bolt is legal in Modern, Legacy, Commander and Pauper, and not legal in Standard and Pioneer.

    Cards exiled with suspend are exiled face up.

    Due to a recent rules change to suspend, you are no longer required to cast the suspended card as the second triggered ability of suspend resolves. Instead, as the second triggered ability resolves, you may cast the card. Timing permissions based on the card's type are ignored. If you don't cast the card, it remains exiled with no time counters on it, and it's no longer suspended.
