- Sep 29, 2017 For spells with {X} in their mana costs, use the value chosen for X to determine the spell's mana value.
- Sep 29, 2017 If a revealed card in your library has {X} in its mana cost, you must choose 0 as the value of X when casting it without paying its mana cost.
- Sep 29, 2017 If the spell's mana value is 0, you do nothing as the ability of Sunbird's Invocation resolves.
- Sep 29, 2017 If you cast a card "without paying its mana cost," you can't pay any alternative costs. You can, however, pay additional costs. If the card has any mandatory additional costs, such as that of Costly Plunder, those must be paid to cast the card.
